Home plant care system

A smart-farm-style system for plants at home. It watches the things that matter — like watering and light — and helps you understand what each plant needs.

It isn’t available yet. This page shares what it’s for and how it’s planned to grow.

How it’s planned to grow

Information first. Automation after.

Stage 1 · Current focus

Monitor & inform

Keep track of conditions such as watering and light, and turn the readings into clear information about how your plants are doing.

Stage 2 · Planned

Automatic watering

Use what the system measures to water plants when they need it.

Stage 2 · Planned

Supplemental grow lights

Add light automatically when a plant isn’t getting enough on its own.

Community plant guide · Planned

Tips and values for specific plants, shared by growers.

Alongside the hardware, a community-supported information section will collect practical tips and target values for particular plants — the kind of knowledge people learn by growing things.

The idea is that the system’s readings become more useful when they can be compared to what works for that plant.

Draft: add sensor details, prototype photos and progress notes as the system develops. Keep dates, prices and sign-ups off this page until they’re real.
